Our role in STAGE is to provide effective and tailored trainings to enable a sustainable transition for the enterprises. Using our experience and close connection to industry we will together with the companies help define goals and how they best can be achieved through knowledge enhancement, uptake of advanced technologies, and support through training.

This calculator will be capable to estimate the carbon footprint of industrial companies and will help them identify hot spots to reduce their emissions.
HSSMI is a sustainable manufacturing innovation consultancy, committed to accelerating the growth and global competitiveness of the Manufacturing sector, whilst working to decelerate the negative impacts of unsustainable production & consumption.
The STAGE project enables us to expand our activities in Europe. HSSMI will lead Work Package 1, which is focused on the assessment of 2000 SMEs to identify:
1) their potential for growth,
2) capability gaps that can be overcome with support from the STAGE team, and
3) their suitability for investment.

University of Ljubljana (UL) is pedagogical and research institution with the highest international standards in the field of mechanical engineering in Slovenia and the wider region of central and south-eastern Europe. UL is the WP2 Leader and will provide its expertise for the Task 2.1 and Task 2.2. The main objective is to develop a framework for decentralized and tailor-made training courses for SMEs and Sustainability Advisors. Other activities related to the STAGE:
1) assuring strong expertise in the area of advanced manufacturing and automation
2) providing high-quality on-line materials and on-site trainings, workshops and other events, assistance and support,
3) providing the manufacturing consulting according to the partner expertise,
4) developing collaboration with the industry and leading science and technology centres, national DIHs and Clusters,
5) disseminating the project results through high-quality scientific journals and conferences.
